Nothing is quite as comforting as a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter’s day. A typical hot chocolate is made with some sort of cocoa mix, normally with added sugar, and milk. If you have lactose sensitivities or if you exclude dairy and sugar from your family’s diet for other health reasons, I have the perfect recipe for you. Our hot chocolate is made with nut milk, nut butter, cacao and your sweetener of choice. We use honey, maple syrup or dates. It’s creamy and comforting and won’t disappoint even the harshest 8 year old critic. If you want to add some extra goodness, why not add your favourite “clean” chocolate protein powder.
